Carinya Home Volunteering
Volunteers are a vital part of Carinya Home, without these helping hands it would be impossible to provide our residents the variety of activities currently on offer. What you volunteer to do can vary, depending on your skills and interests. You may choose to assist with transportation to appointments, take residents to activities and services, have a chat or provide assistance with shopping etc. Please note that in accordance with the legislation under the Aged Care Act 1997, all Staff and Volunteers must undergo a police check, which are funded by the Queensland Government through their ‘Volunteer Support Program’. These checks provide our residents and their loved one’s great confidence in the quality of care being provided.
So, if you want to get involved with your local community, want to meet and make new friends and make a positive difference in the lives of our residents, please complete this downloadable form and return to reception. Forms can also be collected from Main Reception if unable to download. Volunteering is a great way to support our community and give back. Download our Volunteer Information Sheet here.
