SPECIFIC (DEMENTIA) CARE

Barron Court is a 16-bed “dementia care” unit, a purpose-built dementia appropriate facility set in peaceful bush surrounds with high quality, modern facilities. Each resident has their own large bedroom with ensuite. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to continue the homelike atmosphere at the facility. Barron Court is a secure unit for residents with special needs.

We embrace the philosophy of person-centred care which recognises each person’s individual preferences, values, lifestyle choices and needs, and optimises each person’s wellbeing. Person-centred care is facilitated through the development of ‘partnerships in care’ which include the resident, their representatives, care providers, allied health providers and others who form part of each resident’s community.
