Carinya Home is a community-owned facility, located in the tropical township of Atherton. Our residents receive care services from our dedicated teams of professional staff and Allied Health Professionals. We provide quality assisted and complex nursing care services for sub-acute, dementia and palliative residents. We utilise massage therapy, aromatherapy, occupational therapy and exercise, to maintain resident function and independence. A range of programs are offered including pain management regimes, treatment/ management of oedema, individual and group exercise programs, a fall prevention program, muscle strengthening programs, as well as cognitive and functional programs. Additionally, we run a leisure and recreation program five days per week, with specific therapies to support dementia and cognitively impaired residents, as well as regular theme days and special celebratory days.
