14/12 COVID19 UPDATE

Hello Carinya Community

Aged Care Direction #15 came into effect yesterday and the changes they bring are as follows:

The Direction has been updated so that:

• Visitors, staff and volunteers can enter a residential aged care facility if they have been in a safe travel zone / country in the past 14 days.
Currently only New Zealand is a safe travel zone country.

• Facilities are required to keep contact details for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 56 days.

• A person may enter a facility if they are awaiting the result of a COVID-19 test taken for a surveillance testing obligation, and meet all other requirements under the Direction.

Further details are available at the below link.

Thank you and all the best for the coming weeks.
